Prospa has appointed Angelo Azar as Chief Operating Officer to support its next phase of growth across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Sydney, Angelo started on 7 September 2026 and reports directly to Prospa CEO and Co-founder Greg Moshal.
What will Angelo Azar do at Prospa?
Angelo will lead Prospa’s customer operations teams across sales operations, collections, customer support and resolutions. His initial focus is to listen to Prospa’s people, customers, brokers and partners, then identify ways to make the lending journey simpler, faster and more efficient.
Who is Angelo Azar?
Angelo joins Prospa from Ubank, where he also served as Chief Operating Officer. He brings approximately two decades of experience in operational leadership, financial services, insurance, digital banking, customer operations and technology transformation, including roles at Honey Insurance, Hollard Insurance Australia and Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Why has Prospa reintroduced the COO role?
Prospa has reintroduced the Chief Operating Officer role as an investment in how the business scales while keeping customers and people at the centre. The appointment follows Prospa surpassing $5 billion in funding and supporting more than 45,000 businesses through a network of 25,000 partners across Australia and New Zealand.
