The role
We’re looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to join our Originations Credit Risk team. Reporting to the Senior Credit Risk Manager – Originations, you’ll play a key role in shaping Prospa’s credit decisioning framework to support sustainable portfolio growth while maintaining strong risk controls.
You’ll work closely with fellow analysts and senior stakeholders to build and optimise credit scorecards, monitor early performance and loss indicators, and provide data-driven insights that influence credit strategy, product decisions and go-to-market initiatives. This role sits within the Credit Strategy & Commercial function and partners closely with Product, Data, Technology and Credit Operations teams.
What you’ll be doing
- Contribute to the development, testing and optimisation of credit scorecards and originations decisioning strategies
- Analyse application trends, approval rates and early performance indicators
- Monitor early loss indicators and identify emerging risks and growth opportunities
- Produce regular reporting and dashboards to track originations performance
- Partner with Product, Data, Technology and Credit Operations to support credit policy changes and understand downstream impacts
- Support commercial and product strategy initiatives with credit risk insights
- Contribute positively to team culture and continuous improvement initiative
What you’ll need to succeed
- 1–3 years’ experience in credit risk, analytics or a related quantitative role (or strong technical skills and the aptitude to learn)Strong SQL capability, with exposure to tools such as Power BI, Python or similar considered a plusExposure to credit decisioning, scorecards or lending analytics is desirableStrong analytical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to translate business problems into practical, data-driven solutionsA growth mindset and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment, balancing commercial outcomes with prudent risk managementStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
