The role
As an AI Engineer at Prospa, you’ll join our Data and AI delivery team to proactively leverage AI—particularly GenAI and Agentic AI workflows—to enhance products, streamline operations, and elevate customer experiences. You’ll identify disruption risks, deliver high-impact AI solutions with an 80/20 mindset, and amplify the capabilities of those around you. This role blends rapid execution, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve measurable results.
What you’ll be doing
AI-Powered Innovation
- Rapidly prototype and deploy AI/ML and GenAI solutions to enhance lending, onboarding, and customer support processes
- Identify and evaluate emerging AI trends to uncover opportunities and mitigate risks to Prospa’s business model
- Develop high-value, reusable AI solutions with minimal effort, prioritizing impact over perfection
Strategic Execution
- Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to integrate AI into existing systems and workflows
- Lead proof-of-concept projects to test and validate AI-driven business opportunities
- Deliver measurable outcomes that align with Prospa’s FY26 strategic goals
Team Amplification
- Coach and upskill cross-functional teams to leverage AI effectively
- Translate complex AI concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Foster a culture of experimentation, adaptability, and continuous learning
Graph Networks & Knowledge Graphs
- Maintain and enhance a Customer Financial Profile knowledge graph
- Apply heterogeneous GNNs (GraphSAGE/GAT/R‑GCN) for risk, propensity and anomaly detection
- build Graph‑RAG retrieval to ground LLM reasoning for pre‑approvals and dynamic credit-on-tap
Summarisation for Decisioning
- Ship structured, auditable summaries (Financial Brief, Cash‑Flow Outlook, Risk Snapshot) using tool‑augmented LLMs
- Produce offer rationales and next‑best actions for customers and agents with automated factuality checks against the graph
LLM Optimisation

What you’ll need to succeed
The Foundation
- A natural at using AI to boost productivity and achieve results faster and better than competitors.
- Experienced in developing and deploying AI/ML or GenAI solutions in production (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, SQL, AWS/Azure).
- Quick learner who adapts fast, executes efficiently, and finds a way to deliver 80% impact with minimal effort.
- Hungry for value, achievement, and results, with a knack for spotting high-impact opportunities.
- Collaborative, with strong communication skills to inspire and align technical and non-technical teams.
- Passionate about coaching others to amplify their impact through AI.
Bonus points for
- Background in financial services or fintech.
- Familiarity with agentic AI systems or orchestration frameworks.
- Knowledge of data engineering or MLOps practices.
