Collections Officer

Location: Sydney

The role

As a Collections Officer you’ll work with our Small Business customers to provide them with the best solutions and outcomes for their outstanding debts. You are results driven, a natural at building relationships and have a real passion for both customer service and collections. 

What you will be doing

  • Provide exceptional customer service and make smart commercial decisions
  • Collect outstanding debts for small business customers
  • Handle accounts in arrears, ensuring that delinquent accounts are kept to a minimum
  • Build trusted relationships with customers to enable effective commercial negotiations (including appropriate payment plans)
  • Ensure Prospa’s policies and procedures are being followed

 

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in Collections (preferred)
  • Commercial acumen and an understanding of commercial loans is highly advantageous
  • An ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with active debtors
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • A proactive, can-do approach
  • An ability to think outside the box while maintaining compliance standards
  • The drive to meet all KPIs and targets
